An activist group and city council candidate have agreed, on social media, to work together to encourage Raleigh residents to sign a petition to put a recent decision by the city council on the ballot in the 2024 municipal election.
The city council recently voted to extend council terms from 2 years to 4 years. If residents submit a petition with 5,000 signatures, it will be placed on the ballot.
